Do you know how much you are paying for your fuel?
The cost of fuel has risen dramatically. Today, it can easily account for over 25% of your entire fleet expenditure. A recent survey, carried out directly after drivers had just filled up at forecourts, found that 58% of drivers could not remember the price of the fuel that they had just purchased.
Think before you fill up!
- Check your local area to see which fuel station is offering the best priced fuel – several fuel price locators can be found on the web.
- If you have to fill up at a more expensive fuel site, purchase a small amount and fill up later at a less expensive site.
- Only buy regular fuel. Super unleaded and super diesel can be up to 5p per litre more expensive than regular unleaded and diesel – using such fuels has little impact to performance on all but a small range of prestige vehicles but does deliver an unnecessary cost.
